ZONOS has been developed by the Cuculus GmbH. It’s the first operating system which follows the need of higher utilisation of free resources for other purposes. This means that ZONOS supports a secure way to host more than one user on the same physical device. In contrast to other approaches this capability is given by design, meaning directly by ZONOS as an operating system. No third party or root user is needed to control the usage of resources. For this purpose the so called Zone Concept is applied. The Zone Concept is patented by the Cuculus GmbH.
