Once a year, the Energy Academy calls for participation in the Energy Awards to reward outstanding projects in the German energy landscape. We participated with our project “Smart Water Metering System for Dubai” and we are very proud that we reached the final in the category Smart Infrastructure!
Further information regarding our submitted project:
Cuculus delivered its ZONOS IoT platform (AMM and MDM) to one of the leading utilities in the Middle East region for the world’s most advanced smart water metering system implementation.
The implementation of smart water metering systems helps ensuring that water continues to be available in a reliable and affordable manner. Water losses and the related CO2 emissions can be reduced. Furthermore, utilities can be empowered through providing more insight and control over water consumption.
The digitalization of the network and the connection of water meters to the ZONOS IoT platform help bringing down water losses. Our customer has been able to reduce water losses to record levels through making use of our smart metering solution. The avoided losses correspond to 6 million cubic meters water relative to 2015 or 253,000 tons of CO2 on an annual basis.
This successful project is an example of how connectivity and digitalization can help accelerate progress for a mature sector.
